Another accused in Rautahat blast arrested
Kathmandu - Another accused in the bomb blast took place on the eve of 2008 Constituent Assembly election at the then Rajpur Phadarhawa VDC-4 has been arrested. A squad from the State 2’s State Police Office arrested a local Mahanab Alam from Bodhimai municipality-7, confirmed Office spokesperson Krishna Prasai.
Those killed and injured in the blast were reportedly ferried on a tractor to a brick kiln and were burnt in a bid to clear evidences on the command of former minister and Nepali Congress leader Mohammad Aftab Aalam. The accused is among those involved in making IEDs during the election period. The bomb went off in course of preparing and storing the IEDS. Fourteen people had died in the incident. Presently, former minister Alam remains in police custody.
