Restriction eased and extended in Chitwan

Kathmandu - The District Administration Office Chitwan has extended duration of restriction by slightly softening its enforcement. The administration has extended the ongoing restriction up to September 16. Issuing a notice on Friday, Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai urged one and all not to operate other services rather than the stipulated ones during the restriction.

In addition to the most essential services, additional construction materials, electricity, utensils and clothe shops would also be allowed to operate from 10.00 am to 4.00pm, the notice added. A meeting held at the district administration office on Friday took the decision to relax the restriction.

The district had witnessed the first restriction enforcement in Bharatpur area since 15 August. Then, restriction order was enforced in four municipalities of eastern Chitwan and Ichhakamana rural municipality. Lately Madi municipality has also imposed restriction to fight against the transmission of the virus. Number of coronavirus infected people is on the rise of late.
