Bagmati Province Government to Include Journalists in Social Security Fund and Insurance

Makwanpur. The Bagmati Province Government is preparing to connect journalists within the province to the Social Security Fund and insurance.

The government has allocated Rs 10 million in the budget for the fiscal year 2083-084 to connect journalists of the province to the Social Security Fund and insurance in honor of the free press.

Krishna Saru Magar, Chairman of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Bagmati Province, informed that the number of active journalists in Bagmati Province, which covers thirteen districts, is more than 2,500. He stated that the budget allocated by the government to connect journalists to the social security fund and insurance will help in their professional security and emphasized its effective implementation.

He also urged all concerned for the effective implementation of various programs allocated for the benefit and promotion of the communication sector, including the said program.
