Two die in separate landslides in Dailekh

Kathmandu - Two persons died in separate incidents of landslide in the district. One died and one other was missing when a landslide at Gairagaun of Thatikadh rural municipality-4 in Dailekh district washed away seven houses. Seven people have been injured in the disaster. The deceased has been identified as Janak Kathayat, 12, of the village.

Of the injured—the deceased's father Tika, mother Dhansara, sister Bel and brother Shamsher and Mahendra Shahi and Gamma Nepali—one is said to be in serious condition. Lokesh, 11-year-old son of local Dan Bahadur Kathayat—has gone missing in the disaster, local people said. Likewise, a 66-year-old man identified as Bal Bahadur Rawat of Bhagawatimai rural municipality-5 in the district died when a landslip swept away his house, said the police.
