Business persons commit to addressing commoner's problem

Kathmandu - Business persons have committed to solving the problems faced especially by the common people in terms of providing daily essentials in view of the lockdown called to stay away for COVID-19. At a meeting held Thursday at the office of Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Moti Lal Dugad, business persons, entrepreneurs and the industrialists said they would cooperate with the government to solve the problems of poor, helpless and daily wagers in this crisis.

The discussion was held on how the supply of daily essentials including the arrangement of medicine, food grains and import of goods could be made smooth, according to State Minister's secretariat. Similarly, they discussed the possible impact on country's economic sector and how the private sector could help government on it. They also called on the government, intellectuals, media, civil society and citizens to assist from their sides in this hour of crisis. It is learnt that a committee of the business persons will be formed next day to address the economic problems in view of the lockdown. The meeting was attended by businesspersons Paban Kumar Goliyan, Satish Kumar Mor, Sekhar Golchha, Nirvana Chaudhary, Sulav Agrawal, and Pradip Kumar Shrestha, among others.
