FNJ Terhathum honours senior journalist Jha
Terhathum - Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Terhathum Chapter on Tuesday honoured senior journalist Dharmendra Jha.
Jha, a former FNJ President, was conferred an appreciation letter and honoured with a procession involving much fanfare in recognition for his exemplary contribution in promotion and development of Nepal's journalism.
On the occasion, Jha advised the journalists to not forget their responsibility of bringing about a transformation in the society. Underlining the profession of journalism as a real challenge, journalist Jha noted that the Nepali journalists in the hills and nook and corners of the country were making attempts to change the society in spite of the accompanying pains and hurdles.
He also expressed a belief that the newly elected FNJ leadership would undertake many works in the interest of the working journalists. He also stressed on need to focus on implementing the minimum allowance and seeking changes to suit the need of time.
At the programme presided over by FNJ Terhathum President, Naresh Dhungana, comments were made by FNJ central member Udav Timsina and Terhathum Chapter's Founding President, Mahendra Kafle.
