CPN-MC urges student leaders to adopt healthy competition

Kathmandu - The CPN-Maoist Centre has urged leaders and cadres of its student wing-All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary)- to contest in the election in a healthy and fair manner.

 In a press statement issued by CPN-MC's Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal today, Spokesperson Bhusal requested them not to further balloon the issues relating to the selection of leadership and relating to factionalism. 

CPN-MC Secretariat has entrusted Hitman Shakya with the responsibility of In-Charge and Ramesh Malla with Coordinator of the election mobilization committee for the Union to hold its election in a free and fair manner. 

Spokesperson Bhusal, in the statement, also stressed that all student leaders and cadres were equal in the eyes of the party. 

The Union's election process begins today. Failing to select a new leadership on the basis of consensus, the voting process was chosen for the same this time, said election mobilization committee coordinator Malla. 

Ranjit Tamang, Madan Aryal and Anil Sharma have filed their candidacies for the post of President in the Union. 

The election is due in sometime, said Malla, adding that the leadership of the Union was selected through consensus in the past.
