CCMCC recommends school closure until Jan 29
KATHMANDU, Jan 9: The government has decided to restrict the gathering of more than 25 people in public places amid rising fears of the third wave of coronavirus disease in the country.
A meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Committee (CCMCC) held on Sunday decided to recommend the Council of Ministers to restrict public gatherings with more than 25 people and all kinds of fairs and festivals, conferences and political gatherings. “The Home Ministry will have to inform the local administration in this regard,” said Sunita Nepal, spokesperson for the committee.
Meanwhile, the committee also recommended the closure of schools up to grade 10 until January 29 as the country has been witnessing a constant rise in corona cases in recent days. The Health Ministry reported 1,167 new cases on Sunday alone
