All-party meeting begins at Baluwatar, UML skips

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: An all-party meeting has begun at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. 

The meeting is expected to discuss a host of issues including ongoing parliamentary deadlock and ratification of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). 

Leaders of all the political parties representing in the House except for the main opposition CPN-UML have joined the meeting, according to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s press aide, Govinda Pariyar. 

Ahead of the all-party meeting, called by PM Deuba, five coalition partners --- Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha--- held a meeting.
