Nepal defeat Malaysia by six wickets in Women T20 Smash

Kathmandu–Nepal registered a second consecutive win in the ongoing Women T20 Smash, 2019 in Thailand by defeating Malaysia by six wickets at Bangkok-based Terdthai Cricket Ground today. 


Earlier on Saturday, Nepal beat China by 10 wickets. Elected to bat first after winning the toss, Malaysia was restricted to a paltry 61 runs in 19.3 overs losing all wickets. Chasing down the 62 runs target, Nepal achieved it in 16.2 overs at the loss of four wickets. Roma Thapa smashed the highest 20 runs for Nepal, while Sita Ranamagar contributed 16. Mamata Chaudhary remained unbeaten on 9. For Malaysia, Ainna Hamizah Hashim took one wicket. 


For Malaysia, Siow Tzin Yee hit the highest 12 runs. Sarita Magar claimed four wickets for Nepal. Nepal is taking on the United Arab Emirates tomorrow (Monday) in its third match.
