Dipendra Singh Airee climbs to 11th position in ICC All-Rounders rankings

KATHMANDU: Nepali cricket talent Dipendra Singh Airee has shown remarkable progress in the ICC T20 rankings, securing the 11th position in the latest update by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Airee has elevated his standing from 14th place in the previous rankings, reflecting his consistent performance on the field.

Airee's impressive form extends beyond his all-round abilities, as evidenced by his ascent in the batting rankings.

He now occupies the 62nd position, marking a significant improvement of 16 places.

Airee's stellar displays have been particularly evident during the ongoing ACC Premier Cup Cricket in Oman, where his contributions have been instrumental for the Nepali national cricket team.

Notably, in a recent match against Qatar in the Cup, Airee showcased his batting prowess by hitting six sixes in a single over, further cementing his reputation as a formidable player.

In addition to Airee's rise, other Nepali cricketers have also made notable gains in the updated ICC rankings.

Rohit Kumar Paudel, the captain of the Nepali team, holds the 53rd position in the batting rankings. Aasif Sheikh has made a remarkable leap to the 75th rank, advancing by 36 places.

Similarly, Kushal Malla now occupies the 100th position, having climbed nine spots in the rankings.

These achievements underscore the growing prowess of Nepali cricket on the international stage, with talented players like Airee and his teammates making significant strides in the global cricketing landscape.
