Chyasal Youth Club, APF plays 1-1 draw in Martyrs' Memorial A-Division League

Kathmandu– The Chyasal Youth Club and the departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) shared a point each with both playing 1-1 goal draw in today's match under the ongoing Martyrs' Memorial A-Division League at Satdobato-based ANFA Complex. 


The Chyasal led the match in the beginning with a goal by Santa Bahadur Gurung in the 31st minute. Bishwo Adhikari hit was cleared by APF's Santosh Kumar Katuwal from the goal-line. However, Gurung scored the goal kicking the rebounding the ball. 


To the disappointment of the APF, Sudip Shikhrakar could not translate a penalty shootout into a goal in the 41st minute. The penalty was awarded after the Chyasal's Debendra Tamang committed a foul on the APF's Hari Karki. 


The Chyasal's 1-0 lead broke however after the APF's player Shyam Kumar Nepali scored a goal in the 54th minute, equaling the match. The Chyasal was reduced to 10 players in the 77th minute following a red card shown to Gaurav Budhathoki. 


The APF's Nepali was announced the ‘man of the match’ for the game. With this match, the APF has got 17 points, while the Chyasal 15.
