Nepal looking for fourth win in ICC World T-20 qualifier

Kathmandu – Nepal is playing against Bhutan in the fourth match under the ICC World T-20 Asia Qualifier Group ‘B’ today. The game is taking place in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. 


Nepal is on top of the Group B after defeating hosts Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand and is poised for a fourth win in today’s match against minnows Bhutan. 


Nepal has collected six points from three games. Bhutan has two points from three matches and is in the fifth place. 
Bhutan’s show in the ongoing tournament has been lackadaisical. It has registered victory in one game while losing two. 


Nepal has not lost to Bhutan so far. In the five matches of the tournament where the two teams faced each other, Nepal won in four matches while one match was abandoned due to rain. Nepal is meeting Bhutan after 12 years. 


The Nepal line-up comprises Paras Khadka (captain), Anil Kumar Saha, Basanta Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Dipendra Singh Airee, Gyanendra Malla. Karan KC, Lalit Singh Bhandari, Llait Narayan Rajbanshi, Aarif Shekh, Pradip Airee, Sandip Lamichhane, Sharad Bheswakar and Sompal Kami. 


Jagat Tamata is the chief coach, Dinesh Bhatta is the physician and Raman Shiwakoti is the manager of the Nepali team. 


Nepal will be playing against China on Wednesday and against Singapore on Friday in its last match of the qualifier tournament.
