Monsoon Influence Across Nepal: Forecast for Rain and Thunderstorms

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon wind's influence is present across the country. The low-pressure line of the monsoon is located south of the average in the eastern parts of Nepal and around the average in the western parts.

Due to this, moderate rain with thunderstorms is occurring in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly areas of Lumbini province.

This afternoon, there will be generally cloudy skies in the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country. There will also be generally cloudy skies in the Tarai regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. There will be partly cloudy skies in the Tarai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in the Himalayan regions of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly regions of the country.

There is also a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in the Tarai regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
