4 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Southern Lebanon Attack

Beirut. 4 Israeli soldiers have died in a powerful attack in southern Lebanon. This is considered the deadliest incident faced by the Israeli army in the last three months of war. 

According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the soldiers were deployed in a Merkava tank near the Kafr Tebnet area, where the army has been conducting continuous operations. It is reported that Hezbollah targeted the tank using explosive devices, which resulted in the death of all four soldiers inside the tank.

The army identified one soldier as Lieutenant Colonel Dor Gedalia Ben Shimhon, while the names of the other three have not been released. The Israeli army has stated that a preliminary investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing. An investigation is underway to determine whether an explosive drone entered the tank or if an anti-tank missile was used.

Following the incident, Israel has launched a large-scale air attack across southern Lebanon. According to Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, at least 18 people have died in these attacks, and the number is expected to rise. Hezbollah, however, has claimed that the attack on Israeli soldiers was planned. According to the group, they fired guided missiles at three Merkava tanks. 

This incident occurred the day after US President Donald Trump signed a ceasefire agreement with Iran. The agreement demands Iran to end the ongoing Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
