CPN-UML Lawmaker Gurupasad Baral Demands Science Stream in Community Schools

Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Gurupasad Baral has stated that the government should arrange for teaching the science stream in grades 11 and 12 in community schools in every local level. He said this while speaking in the discussion on ministry-wise budget in the House of Representatives meeting. He said that the infrastructure built so far is not sufficient to strengthen science and technology. He said, 'For this, the government needed to allocate sufficient budget. But the current budget is very low. A budget of 4 billion has been allocated.' He stated that although the current expenditure appears high, sufficient budget has not been allocated for research and innovation. He mentioned the need for the government to put in a lot of effort and investment in science and technology. He said that the development of science and technology will lay the foundation for raising the country's economic condition and the government needs to pay attention to it.
