MP Pariyar raises concern over suspension of health insurance

Kathmandu, February 23 — A question was raised in the House of Representatives regarding the suspension of the health insurance program by various hospitals due to non-payment by the government.
On Sunday’s zero hour, Congress MP Jeewan Pariyar highlighted that citizens are suffering because the government has not paid the health insurance funds.
“Various hospitals have stopped implementing the health insurance program because the government halted the payments,” said MP Pariyar.
“As a result, the general public has not been able to benefit from the services. I want to draw the government's attention to this issue,” he added.
Hospitals like Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and Rapti Institute of Health Science Institute have already announced the suspension of services under the health insurance program due to non-payment.
