1.3 million girls vaccinated so far in HPV Campaign

Kathmandu, February 16 — A total of 1.3 million adolescent girls have received the HPV vaccine across the country.
The vaccination campaign, aimed at preventing cervical cancer, has been underway from Magh 22 to Falgun 6 (February 4 to 18), with 1.3 million girls vaccinated so far.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the campaign targets girls in grades 6 to 10, as well as all girls aged 10 to 14 who are not attending school.
Additionally, the government has announced that starting next year, the HPV vaccine will be included in the regular vaccination program for 10-year-old girls in grade 6 or those not attending school.
