Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya discharged from Kirtipur hospital

Kathmandu, February 20 — Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor, Dhanraj Acharya, who was injured by a balloon explosion during the official announcement ceremony of 'Pokhara Visit Year 2025,' has been discharged from Kirtipur Burns Hospital today.

Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, who was also injured in the same incident, had been discharged three days earlier.

In a statement, Mayor Acharya expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in his treatment.

He also thanked President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, and former Prime Ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba, Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Jhala Nath Khanal for their heartfelt support, blessings, and encouragement during his recovery.
