Jay Trophy Final: Police set Army a target of 103 runs
Birgunj, January 16 — Nepal Police Club has taken a lead of 102 runs at the innings break on Day 3 of the final in the Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup.
Aftern declaring in a modest first innings score of 133, the Police Club's bowlers restricted Tribhuwan Army Club to 170 in their first innings.
Following a solid bowling performance that saw Sagar Dhakal claim 5 wicket and Kushal Bhurtel claim 3 wickets, the Army Club was dismissed for 170.
In response, Nepal Police Club began their second innings with cautious optimism. At stumps, they had reached 139 all out in 49.1 overs, taking a 102-run lead. While Kushal Bhurtel top-scored with 45 runs, the innings faltered against Basir Ahamad and Shahab Alam, both of whom claimed five wickets between them.
