Jay Trophy Final: Police leads by 95 runs on day 2 against Army

Birgunj, January 15 — On the second day of the Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup final, held in Birgunj, Nepal Police Club ended the day with a 95-run lead over Tribhuwan Army Club.

 After being bowled out for 133 in their first innings, Police Club responded by restricting Army to 170. The standout performer for Police Club was bowler Sagar Dhakal, who took 5 wickets for 78 runs.

In their second innings, Police Club faced another challenge, with key contributions from Kushal Bhurtel (45) and Dilip Nath (34), but they were again under pressure, finishing the day at 132/9.

Basir Ahamad and Shahab Alam continued to shine with the ball for Army, picking up crucial wickets.

With one day left in the final, Police Club holds a 95-run lead, setting up an exciting finish to the match.
