PM Oli holds virtual meeting with Elon Musk

Kathmandu, November 22 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has held a virtual meeting with American billionaire entrepreneur and owner of companies like Tesla and X, Elon Musk.

He shared the information about the conversation on his Facebook on Friday.

The discussion primarily focused on Musk’s company, Starlink, which has shown interest in providing satellite-based internet services in Nepal.

Earlier, Starlink's director, Rebecca Slick Hunter, had met with Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, and expressed the company's interest in operating in Nepal.

Starlink has been offering satellite-based internet services in many countries around the world. During this time, as the company showed interest in investing in Nepal, Prime Minister Oli held the meeting with Musk.
