NOC fuel depot in 'danger' zone of TIA (photos)

Kathmandu, November 21 — The Nepal Oil Corporation's aviation fuel depot, located in the "danger" zone within the Tribhuvan International Airport premises, is set to be relocated.

The new site for the depot will be in Guhyeshwari, near the Nepal Army's golf course to the north of the airport.

The corporation has also signed an agreement with the Nepal Engineering Association, Pulchowk, to prepare a detailed feasibility report (DPR) for constructing the depot with advanced technology.

The decision to relocate the depot has been made due to the potential risks posed by its current location within the airport, where it could pose a hazard at any time.
