Indian CoAS Dwivedi pays courtesy call on PM Oli
Kathmandu, November 22 — Visiting Indian Chief of Army Staff, Upendra Dwevedi, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday.
During the meeting held at Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, PM Oli expressed happiness over the traditional continuity of the exchange of conferring the title of honorary general to the CoASs of India and of Nepal between the two countries. The two-country relations and cooperation should be expanded, he added.
On the occasion, Indian CoAS Dwivedi shared he was happy and fortunate to have been bestowed the honorary general of Nepali Army. He expressed belief that he would play his part for the expansion of the bilateral relations.
Also attending the meeting were PM's chief advisor, Bishnu Rimal; Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava; Joint Secretary at Foreign Ministry, Bhrigu Dhungana; and major general of Nepali Army, Madhukar Karki, among others.
Earlier on Thursday, President Ramchandra Paudel had conferred the insignia of honorary general of Nepali Army on the Indian Army Chief Dwivedi.(
