Consensus reached between Govt. and relief teachers

KATHMANDU, Sep 29: The government has reached a consensus with the protesting relief teachers. After an agreement between the two sides at the Ministry of Education on Friday, the teachers have withdrawn their protests.

Teachers from all over the nation including relief teachers had started a protest movement against the Student Education Bill that was registered in the parliament. The relief teachers continued their protests even though a consensus was reached between the government and the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers.

According to the General Secretary of the Nepal Relief Teachers Central Committee Kumar Bajagain, the government negotiated separately with five protesting organizations, including Relief teachers, Child Development teachers, Pension denied teachers and school staff.
