Former PM Bhattarai hails court's decision to grant bail to Lamichhane

Kathmandu, January 10 — Former Prime Minister and President of the Nepal Samajwadi Party (Naya Shakti) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has stated that the decision issued by the Kaski District Court regarding the Rashtriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane is a prudent one.

In a post on social media today, Bhattarai expressed that the court's decision to release Lamichhane on bail was reasonable.

After the Kaski District Court's order on Thursday, Lamichhane was released after paying a bail of NPR 6.5 million.

Lamichhane and six other defendants were granted bail following a 10-day detention hearing after a case was filed against them for embezzlement in the Suryadarshan Cooperative case.
