Former Prime Minister Bhattarai leaving for India today

KATHMANDU, Sep 16: Former Prime Minister and the Chairman of Nepal Socialist Party (NSP), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, is leaving for India today at 2:50 p.m.

According to his secretariat, Bhattarai is flying to India on a week-long visit at the invitation of the Nepal Samajbadi Party Migration Committee.

During the visit, he is scheduled to discuss and interact with the Nepalese community in India, as well as participate in special Teej celebrations, and deliver a lecture on Nepal's economic development.

According to Dr. Bhattarai's Chief Personal Secretary, Roshan Pokharel, Bhattarai is also scheduled to meet with intellectuals and civil society leaders who are experts in Nepal-India relations.

Pokharel also informed that Dr. Bhattarai's programs will be held in Goa, Karnataka, New Dehli and Chandigarh. Bhattarai will return from his visit on October 5.
