Lalita Niwas case: Habeas Corpus to continue on Thursday

KATHMANDU, July 18: The hearing on the habeas corpus filed by the defendants in the Lalita Niwas case will be continued on Thursday after it couldn't come to a conclusion on Wednesday.

The defendant's side filed the habeas corpus after Communication Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, Bhatbhateni Operator Minbahadur Gurung, Former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah and former Land Revenue Office employee Dharma Prasad Gautam were arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on charges of misappropriation of government land inside "Lalita Niwas Camp".

The hearing for the habeas corpus started on Monday but has yet to come to a conclusion. The writ has been postponed for continuous hearing on Thursday after the hearing could not be concluded on Wednesday.
