Govt. committed to economic progress of people: Minister

Lahan–Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth has said that the government was committed to increasing the economic standard of the people in the Tarai Madhesh.

Laying foundation stone of road projects in Karjanha of Siraha on Saturday, Minister Mahaseth said the government has come up with projects to bring a wave of development in the region.

There is enough budget, and if that could be spent on time, then the wave of development will come, Minister Mahaseth said while adding that for it the people's representatives need to be honest. Under the Tarai Madhes Prosperity Programme, 32 development projects have been implemented for Siraha alone.

Former Minister and NCP Leader Ajaya Shanker Nayak stressed on the need to develop and publicize Karjanha municipality as a beautiful town.

Municipality Mayor Ganga Paswan, former Minister Biswanath Shah, MP Lilanath Shrestha, provincial MP Dilip Shah and other speakers expressed their views on the occasion. ---
