Government should carry out activities in people’s favour: leader Nepal

Bharatpur, April 4 (RSS): Leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that the government should carry out activities in favour of the people and with honesty.

Addressing the first memorial assembly of late leader Jagrit Prasad Bhetwal organised at Bhandara of Chitwan, leader Nepal said that the incumbent government should carry out activities as per people’s wish as they have given two-thirds majority to communist-led government with hope and faith. He added that all should play their role from ward to centre to gain popularity among the people. Also the former Prime Minister, Nepal said that people will punish the party and the government if the government failed to carry out activities in their favour.

Describing the late Bhetwal as an exemplary leader in terms of his conduct and sacrifice, leader Nepal said that popularity of the party has increased due to leaders like Bhetwal in the party. Similarly, NCP Secretariat Member Bamdev Gautam complained that the party has not given any role to him for the past one year.

He said that it would be true tribute to late Bhetwal if the dreams of Bhetwal were fulfilled. Likewise, NCP Standing Committee member Surendra Pandey said that leader Bhetwal had significant contribution in establishing communist party in Chitwan.

Leader Bhetwal died on April 4, 2018, while undergoing treatment of cancer at Bir Hospital, Kathmandu.
