Sunsari CDO dismisses fake report about Saptakoshi embankment collapse

Inaruwa (Sunsari) - Chief District Officer of Sunsari Gopal Prasad Parajuli has brushed off the report about Saptakoshi embankment outburst as baseless, while urging the people not to follow such rumour.

"There is no indication of Koshi outburst risks, and the residents of Sunsari need not to worry," he said, adding that all concerned authorities including himself continue monitoring the embankment and spurs.

At present, waster flow in the river is recorded at 170,615 cusec per second and its 22 water gates have remained open.

He also said a search for the persons involved in spreading out the rumour of Koshi embankment collapse is underway.
