Large number of devotees throng to Pashupatinath temple today

Kathmandu - A large number of devotees has thronged to Pashupatinath temple from early morning today, the last Monday of Saun month. The month of Saun and especially the last Monday of this month are considered a special occasions for paying homage to Lord Shiva. 

According to the Pashupati Area Development Trust, four doors of the temple have been opened from 3:30 am for the devotees thronged from 2:00 am. 

Director of the PADT and Pashupati Temple and Guthi Section Chief, Bhola Sitaula, said that the crowd of devotees is more at Pashupatinath temple in this Monday as today is the last Monday of Saun month as well as Krishna Janmastami. 

He said that 390 people have taken ticket for special worship at Pashupati temple while 110 at Basuki temple. 
Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli has worshipped Pashupati temple in the morning while President Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to visit Pashupati temple at 4:30 pm, according to the PADT. 

Some 200,000 devotees have worshipped there till this afternoon. Mainly, the number of women devotees is high. 

Devotees have thronged different temple of Kathmandu valley including Gokarneshwor and Doleshwor.
