Samsung Nepal Completes Coding Course, Opens AI Program Applications

Kathmandu. Samsung Nepal has successfully completed its 'Samsung Innovation Campus' coding and programming course. The company has also announced the opening of applications for a new 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI) course with the aim of producing Nepal's future digital workforce.

The coding and programming course, which ran from December 22, 2025, to June 30, 2026, provided students with technical skills, practical project experience, and direct industry knowledge. Recently, students who successfully completed the course were honored at a graduation ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Samsung Nepal's Managing Director, Chang Wook Jang, praised the capabilities of Nepali youth. He said, 'I am proud to see the potential I saw in the youth here when I came to Nepal last December transformed into achievements today. In a situation where artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry in the world, it is extremely important for the youth to develop digital skills. Through the Samsung Innovation Campus, we are preparing the youth to lead Nepal's digital future with confidence and innovative thinking.' This program was launched in Nepal in 2023 under Samsung's global CSR vision 'Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People'. This program has been helping youth to become proficient in emerging technologies and develop skills necessary for the workplace such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.

The new AI program, which is about to start, will focus on practical learning and real-world problem-solving for students. Through this course, participants will have the opportunity to develop AI capabilities to address Nepal's changing development needs.

In addition to classroom learning, Samsung Nepal has committed to providing continuous support to graduates through mentorship, career guidance, and innovative projects from Samsung employees and industry experts.

Furthermore, Samsung also plans to establish the 'Samsung Innovation Campus Alumni Network'. This network will provide a platform for graduated students to connect with each other, continue learning, and guide future participants.

Samsung believes that collaboration between the education sector, industry, and government is necessary to accelerate Nepal's digital transformation and expand employment opportunities.
