Xi Jinping Ideology Presented as Successful Global Political Model

Kathmandu. Stakeholders have stated that the 'Xi Jinping Ideology' put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping is a successful and alternative model of current world politics. They concluded that the policy adopted by Xi for socialism with Chinese characteristics and the new era has added a new dimension to global governance.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on the topic of 'Xi Jinping's Ideology on Party Building', Nepali Communist Party leader Jagannath Khatiwada discussed the weaknesses of the Nepali communist movement. He emphasized that lessons should be learned from China, mainly in unity, long-term perspective, and planned work style.

He commented that there is a lack of security for cadres, ideological clarity, and geopolitical awareness in Nepal. He expressed concern that the tendency to use the party for self-interest is increasing in Nepal and that public relations are weakening. He stated that although Nepal's multi-party democratic system and China's specific system are different, there is a need for serious research and debate on how the Nepali communist movement can be advanced.

Praising China's 'Tiger and Fly' (punishing both big and small) policy for corruption control, Khatiwada said it is an important achievement of Xi's tenure. Mentioning that more than 7 million people have been punished under the campaign, he stated that zero tolerance for corruption and the practice of self-criticism have purified the party.

'Nepal should primarily learn unity, long-term vision, and planned implementation from the Chinese Communist Party,' Khatiwada said, 'We have excessive division, which has weakened the communist movement.' He stated that a strong commitment to a common goal, long-term vision, and strategy is necessary.

He emphasized the need for effective arrangements for the security, treatment, and support of politically and organizationally active cadres. 'Emphasis should be placed on producing quality cadres rather than quantity,' he added, 'A large number of cadres without a deep understanding of ideology and principles can change parties at any time.'

Journalist Gopal Khanal stated that the 'Xi Jinping Ideology' propounded by General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Chinese President Xi Jinping is an alternative and successful model of current world politics. According to Khanal, the Xi ideology is not an illusion but a practical application of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.

Khanal described the fact that China has freed 800 million people from poverty in the last four decades as 'a miracle of the world'. Mentioning that about 100 million people have come out of poverty during President Xi's tenure, he attributed this mainly to Xi's 'targeted approach'. He argued that Xi has demonstrated the implementation of issues that leaders confine to speeches in a results-oriented manner within a specific timeframe.

'Xi Jinping has established a strong alternative model of governance prevalent in global politics,' Khanal said, 'China does not wish to forcibly impose its development model on other countries.' He stated that China says other developing countries can benefit from its experiences. He mentioned that China has presented an example that no country can become prosperous without discipline and system.

Khanal stated that zero tolerance against corruption is another main basis for China's prosperity. He said that more than 7 million leaders and cadres have been punished for financial irregularities and abuse of power during Xi's tenure. Recalling that President Xi Jinping himself visits impoverished villages to monitor development, Khanal said that Chinese development is people-centric. He mentioned that China equally values and preserves its culture and history along with development.
