Monsoon Influence Across Nepal, With Rain Expected in Various Regions

Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon low-pressure line is currently north of the average in the western part of Nepal and around the average in the eastern part of the country. This is influencing the entire country.

Due to this influence, most parts of the country are currently experiencing general cloudiness. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in some places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will generally be cloudy. The Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces will also generally be cloudy. The Terai regions of Madhesh and Koshi provinces will have partial cloudiness. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in a few places in the Terai regions of Madhesh and Koshi provinces, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the entire country will generally be cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, a few places in the Terai regions of Koshi province and Madhesh province, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
