Gagan Thapa Provides Financial Aid to Vivek Mandal's Family

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has provided financial assistance of 1 lakh to the family of the late Vivek Mandal of Sarlahi. President Thapa provided the assistance in the form of relief on the occasion of the 13th day of the death of the 35-year-old Mandal, who died during treatment after attempting self-immolation. 

Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic demise of Vivek Mandal, son of Upendra Mandal and husband of Rina Kumari, a resident of Sisautiya, Godaita Municipality-10, Sarlahi district, Thapa provided a cash assistance of one lakh rupees to the bereaved family. 

Along with financial assistance, President Thapa has also pledged to take full responsibility for the education of the late Mandal's children, informed Krishna Prasad Dulal, acting chief secretary of the Congress central office. Earlier, he had expressed his deep grief over the untimely demise of Vivek Mandal, offered heartfelt condolences to Mandal, and expressed sympathy to the family.
