US President Trump Nears Decision on 'Largest Ever' Military Strike Against Iran Amid Escalating Tensions

Washington DC. US President Donald Trump has said he is nearing a decision on whether to launch the 'largest ever' military strike against Iran. Trump warned that Iran has 'not suffered enough' and that extensive military action could be resumed if necessary.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the US attack 'unwise' and warned that such a move would make Trump pay a greater price. Iran has reiterated its stance that it will launch a more powerful retaliatory attack if US attacks continue.

Meanwhile, news has emerged that US attacks are continuing. Explosions and missile attacks have been reported in Iran's strategically very important Kish Island, Ahvaz, Andimeshk, and Omidiyeh regions. Iranian media have reported that US missiles have been fired in some areas of Khuzestan province. Iranian officials have also stated that at least two people were injured in an attack in the city of Bandar Abbas.

Similarly, concerns have also risen about the US's war capability and expenditure. According to former Pentagon official Mark Cancian, the US has already used one-third to half of its modern weapons in the Iran war. He estimates that it could take two to five years to replenish the stock of these weapons. He warned that this could weaken the US in other potential conflicts, such as with Taiwan.

According to him, the US has already spent approximately 37.5 billion US dollars in the Iran war, and the US administration has stated that an additional 70 billion dollars will be required for the war and military preparations. It has also been mentioned that the US has increased the combined use of cheaper and advanced weapons, including explosive-laden sea drones.

Meanwhile, member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) along with Jordan have issued a joint statement saying they will take all necessary legal measures to protect their sovereignty, citizens, merchant ships, and critical infrastructure. However, they have emphasized diplomatic solutions rather than announcing retaliatory military action against Iran.

Meanwhile, the UK has also stated that its armed forces are on standby to defend the country after Iran's warning regarding the use of its military bases.
