Koshi Province Earns Over NPR 30 Billion in FY 2082/083

Biratnagar. Koshi Province government has earned a total of NPR 30,384,732,439 in the fiscal year 2082/083. According to the province government's statement until the end of Ashad, the contribution of the province's own internal revenue within the total income received is NPR 4,708,444,911.

The remaining large portion has been raised from sources including various grants, revenue sharing, and royalties received from the federal government.

Among the province government's internal income, vehicle and land registration tax has the largest share. According to the details, NPR 1,516,238,257 has been collected from vehicle tax sharing and NPR 1,417,815,886 from land registration fees.

Similarly, NPR 633,065,040 from vehicle driver's license and vehicle registration fees, NPR 312,395,269 from the sale of Dahatar Bahatar, and NPR 131,094,089 from other administrative service fees have been deposited into the internal account. Additionally, NPR 122,292,632 has been collected from the recovery of outstanding audits.

NPR 8,894,364,447 has been received from value-added tax (VAT) sharing from the federal government, and NPR 8,215,319,300 from financial equalization grants.

Similarly, NPR 3,213,919,802 has been received from excise duty sharing, NPR 2,395,529,453 from current conditional grants, and NPR 1,551,481,252 from capital conditional grants.

NPR 340,500,000 for special grants (current), NPR 216,700,000 for special capital, and NPR 391,700,000 for complementary capital grants have been deposited into the province's consolidated fund, while NPR 227,100,000 and NPR 103,200,000 have been earned from mountaineering and electricity royalty respectively.

In the last month of the fiscal year, Ashad alone, a total income of NPR 3,447,692,485 was deposited into the province government's account, of which the internal revenue collected in the month of Ashad alone is NPR 900,959,331.
