Congress Deputy President Bishwa Prakash Sharma Urges Calmness in Internal Criticism

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Deputy President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has urged that criticism and disagreements within the party should be taken naturally and that they should not be countered with गाली or anger. Speaking at the 'New Situation, New Resolve, New Campaign' declaration program organized at the National Assembly Hall on Thursday on the occasion of the 44th memorial day of BP Koirala, Sharma said that restraint and patience are necessary in the political journey. 

Deputy President Sharma gave this reaction targeting the sharp comments and गालीगलौज made by the leaders of the party's establishment- इतर group towards the इतर group's gathering and the views expressed there the previous day. 

'Just because someone has criticized us severely at a gathering, we cannot reach our destination by chasing after it or by throwing stones in retaliation,' Sharma said. He said that when ideas are churned within the party, it should be taken as an opportunity for improvement rather than as excitement. 

He added, 'If someone criticizes us while walking on the road, the main goal can be overshadowed by engaging in a counter-argument for every criticism. Therefore, we should not throw stones, but focus on our objective and move forward.'

Recalling BP Koirala's politics of reconciliation and tolerance, Sharma said that in the current new situation, Congress should focus on policy and ideas rather than internal conflict.
