Four Dead in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Four people have died in separate road accidents in various places across the country. The deceased were from accidents in Tanahun, Kaski, Jhapa, and Palpa.

In Tanahun, a motorcycle with registration number Bagmati Province 02-017 Pa 1310, traveling from Dumre towards Aabukhaireni, met with an accident on the road in Aabukhaireni Rural Municipality-1, Baradi, on Wednesday afternoon. The rider died in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Anil Poudel, 25, residing in Madhuvani Rural Municipality-6, Bardiya. He died during treatment at CMC Hospital, Bharatpur, Chitwan, after sustaining serious injuries.

Similarly, in Kaski, a collision occurred between a Hiace van with registration number Ga 1 Ja 8250 and a motorcycle with registration number Ga 13 Pa 6029 on the road in Pokhara Metropolitan City-15, Dhunge Sanghu, on Wednesday night. The motorcycle rider, identified as 19-year-old Sugat, also known as Lok Bahadur Gurung, residing in Tutunga, Pokhara Metropolitan City-15, died in the accident. He died early Thursday morning during treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital after sustaining serious injuries. One person who was riding on the motorcycle with the deceased is undergoing treatment at Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara, while the Hiace driver has been taken into police custody.

In Jhapa, a cyclist died after being hit by a car with registration number Province 1-02-002 Cha 5482, traveling from Amda towards Tarabari, on the road at Sangam Chowk, Damak Municipality-4, on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Ran Bahadur Bist, 53, residing in Damak Municipality-3. He died early Thursday morning during treatment at B & C Hospital, Birtamod, after sustaining serious injuries. The car collision also caused the bicycle to lose control and hit a motorcycle with registration number Province 1-01-015 Pa 144. The motorcycle rider, who was injured in the accident, has been referred to Birtacity Hospital, Birtamod, for further treatment, while the car driver has been taken into police custody.

In Palpa, a tipper truck with registration number Lu 2 Kha 1719, traveling from Butwal towards Tansen, lost control and met with an accident on the road in Tinau Rural Municipality-3, Chaharagaura, on Wednesday night. The driver died in the accident. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Hem Bahadur Lamtari, residing in Sisuwa, Tinau Rural Municipality-3. He died during treatment at Marsi City Hospital, Butwal, after sustaining serious injuries.

Police are conducting necessary investigations into all the accidents.
