Nearly 100 US Soldiers Injured in Conflict with Iran, Pentagon Reports

Washington DC. Since July 7, about 100 American soldiers have been injured in the ongoing conflict with Iran, the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) has stated.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell gave this information through a post on the social media platform X. According to Parnell, since July 7, 2026, about 100 soldiers have been injured, but 96 percent of them have returned to their duties.

He said, 'They are determined to return to their responsibilities. Most of the injured suffered from mild concussion,' Parnell gave this response in protest of a news report by the American newspaper The New York Times. That report claimed that the Pentagon had not released details of the dozens of injuries sustained by the US military during the conflict with Iran.

Earlier on Monday, the American news agency CNN also reported that the US military had delayed releasing information about soldiers being injured. According to CNN, this delay was intended to maintain the security and privacy of the soldiers. The Pentagon, however, stated that most of the injuries were minor and that most soldiers have returned to their regular duties.
