Three arrested for temple theft in Kanepokhari

Biratnagar. Three people have been arrested for stealing temple goods at Kanepokhari Chowk in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality Ward No. 5 of Morang. The police team deployed from the temporary police post Kanepokhari took them under control while checking on Friday night. Upon suspicion, questioning, and investigation, various stolen goods were found in their possession. According to the police, those arrested are 31-year-old Divas Darji, 26-year-old Vivek Bishwakarma, and 18-year-old Arjun Darji, residing in Urlabari Municipality Ward No. 7 of Morang. Cash Rs. 665 and one scooter with number plate Ko 34 Pa 5779 have been recovered from them. Similarly, 62 pieces of Dhaki Dollar, 60 pieces of copper urns, 12 bells, 46 pieces of copper lamps, 3 copper plates, and 1 Pilaas have been found. The police have also recovered one iron hand hammer and one iron rod for breaking locks from them. Upon detailed questioning of the arrested individuals, it was revealed that the said goods were stolen from the Sabayahaang Kirat Mahim Temple. Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Makendra Kumar Mishra informed that all three arrested individuals are being further investigated at the Area Police Office Pathari.
