Nationwide Paddy Plantation Reaches 61.62% by Asar 32

Kathmandu. By Asar 32, paddy plantation has been completed in an average of 61.62 percent across the country. According to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture, out of the total 13 lakh 66 thousand 562 hectares of land for paddy plantation in Nepal, 8 lakh 42 thousand 68 hectares have been planted so far.

According to the provincial details, Sudurpashchim Province has the most encouraging plantation of 87.08 percent. Among other provinces, Gandaki has completed 65.9 percent, Karnali 60.2 percent, and Lumbini 59.6 percent plantation. Similarly, the ministry's data shows that Madhesh Province has 57.9 percent, Bagmati 57.1 percent, and Koshi Province has the least paddy plantation at 54.9 percent.

Compared to last year's 72.14 percent plantation nationwide by July 19, the progress as of the end of Asar this year appears to be slightly lower. Last year, 72.14 percent of plantation was completed by July 19.
