Tribhuvan University Stops Degree Equivalence Determination

Kathmandu. Tribhuvan University (TU) Curriculum Development Center has completely stopped the work of determining equivalence of higher education degrees that it has been doing for a long time. The center has published an official notice stating that this decision has been made in accordance with Section 28 of 'Some Nepal Laws (Amendment) Act, 2082', which amends Section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 2050. As per the new legal provision, the entire responsibility of determining equivalence of higher education degrees has now been entrusted to the University Grants Commission. With the implementation of this new system, Tribhuvan University Curriculum Development Center has already stopped accepting new applications for equivalence from July 1, 2083. According to the notice published on June 30, 2083, students and stakeholders who wish to apply for equivalence after July 1, 2083, will now have to contact the University Grants Commission.
