Rautahat. An Indian youth who jumped into the fish pond of Mathiya Secondary School located in Thulo Lachmari, Ishanath Municipality-4, Rautahat, has been found dead. According to DSP Basanta Gautam, spokesperson for the District Police Office Rautahat, the youth, approximately 30 years old, jumped into the pond around 9:30 PM on Tuesday. He was found dead on Wednesday morning, police said. A joint team from Mathiya Police Post and Armed Police Auraiya reached the scene and conducted a search throughout the night. According to spokesperson Gautam, the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Wazir, 23, son of Lal Mohammad, a resident of Dhaka Gram Panchayat-30, East Champaran (Motihari) district, Bihar, India. Wazir's body has been sent to Provincial Hospital Gaur for post-mortem. Further investigation into the incident is underway, informed the District Police Office Rautahat.
