Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence Across Nepal with Moderate to Heavy Rainfall Expected

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon wind's influence is present across the country, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The monsoon trough is currently located north of its average position, near the Terai region of Nepal.

Due to this, most of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing cloudy skies, while Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are generally cloudy. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in many parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

This afternoon, most parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will be cloudy, while Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will generally be cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in many parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in some parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in the hilly regions of Karnali province.
