Umesh Shrestha Appointed Chairman of Press Council Nepal, Arjun Ghimire Appointed Chairman of Nepal Telecommunications Authority

Kathmandu. Umesh Shrestha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Press Council Nepal. He was appointed on Monday as per the decision of the Council of Ministers on Asar 24. The newly appointed Chairman Shrestha received the appointment letter today from the Minister of Information and Communications Dr. Vikram Timilsina. Similarly, Arjun Ghimire has been appointed as the Chairman of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority. The newly appointed Ghimire also received the appointment letter today from the Minister of Communications Timilsina. While presenting the appointment letter, Minister of Communications Dr. Timilsina expressed high expectations towards both the chairmen of the institutions who have come to responsibility after being selected through a competitive process. Mentioning that the recommendation committee has selected them based on the belief that they can perform their responsibilities in a just, impartial, and result-oriented manner compared to other candidates, the Minister of Communications Timilsina emphasized that the regulatory bodies must perform their roles seriously.
