Sub-Division Forest Office Head Arrested for Bribery

Kathmandu. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has taken the office chief (Officer Eighth) of the Sub-Division Forest Office Bandipur in Siraha, Ram Kewal Ray Yadav, under control with bribe money.  

Based on a complaint that he demanded a bribe by causing trouble and harassment to service recipients while returning the file with documents after verifying whether the timber brought for industry was in accordance with the sealing, a team from the Commission arrested him.

A team dispatched from the office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Bardibas, took Yadav under control from the Mirchaiya-Bandipur road section in Ward No. 4 of Karjhana Municipality, Siraha, while he was receiving a bribe of 12,000 rupees from a service recipient.  

During the search, a total of 145,120 rupees, including the bribe of 12,000 rupees and an additional 133,120 rupees of undisclosed source, along with a mobile phone, were recovered from his possession.  
Spokesperson of the Commission, Suresh Neupane, informed that further investigation is underway against him.
