Rastriya Swatantra Party Ensures 33% Representation for Women and Youth

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has ensured at least 33 percent representation of women and youth in every committee, department, and body of the party.

The revised statute passed by the first general convention held in Chitwan has ensured 33 percent representation of women and youth.

'Every organizational structure of the party will be made a true mirror of the beautiful diversity of Nepali society. Meaningful representation of at least 33 percent women and at least 33 percent youth will be mandatory in all committees, departments, and bodies at all levels of the party', the statute states, 'In addition, addressing the specific realities of the country's geography, population ratio, and various social communities (clusters), equitable representation of all classes, regions, and marginalized communities will be ensured.'

Similarly, 'one person, one opportunity' has been arranged for proportional representation. The statute has arranged for the principle of inclusivity to bring marginalized and minority communities at the bottom of the state to leadership, but to keep the opportunity for proportional representation free from the control of a limited number of individuals, the policy of 'one person, only once' will be implemented.
