Spain Leads Austria 1-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers First Half

Kathmandu. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 competition, Spain has taken a 1-0 lead against Austria in the first half. In the 36th minute of the game, Mikel Oyarzabal scored to give Spain the initial lead. 

Spain appeared completely dominant on the field in the first half. Spain controlled the pace of the game and continuously created pressure on Austria. 

In ball possession, Spain managed to keep the ball under its control for 64 percent of the time, while Austria's possession was only 36 percent. 

In the first half, Spain had a total of 10 shots towards the post, with 6 shots on target. On the other hand, Austria could only manage 2 shots, and none of them were on target. Spain received 6 corners in the first half, while Austria did not get any corners.
